Hellooooo :) I like the idea of having a lil art thread to keep track of things, so I'm hopping in! I'm finding it difficult to go sort my personal work from this year and decide what's worth sharing, so I'll just add the stuff that I make going forward for now!

I recently finished getting a basic version of my neocities website online and I wanted to make some very simple quick illustrations for a short drabble, these were my favourite ones from last week!

Very mild warning for weird exploding meat, but nobody's getting hurt. (Except a sentient spaceship.)

TOMODACHI LIFE: The Junk Drawer Saga

Hi this is going to be my dumping ground for my Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream series, featuring the cast of characters in JourneyBound (and then some). Events posted are in chronological order; some may have further description.

Week One...

Any good story starts with a good protagonist. Obviously, this is not a good story.
...so anyway, the first character is Arrow Squall, shortly followed by Ashe Radiant. They shared a mutual love of Keg Stands and everybody clapped. Pics related

I'm getting back into Hades after years of pause when it didn't 1000% megahook me during its release. I thought I had made pretty good progress but looks like I have actually barely gotten anywhere useful lol. Just now getting some weapons to heat gauge 2, and so much story just unlocking after giving it a run or two a day. Terrible at the game so I play with God Mode turned on (currently at 58% and still getting my ass kicked by Dad constantly) but I will give it a bit more this time around before making any further decisions.

Heyyy so I spend quite a lot of time in the gpose tool of hit MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV (that now has a free trial you can play up to level 70, including award-winning expansion Stormblood) and have taken maaaaaaany a shot over the years. Most of them have been of my OC Au Ra guy, Sunesu, but others have been featured as well. Going to start this first post off with some old favorites of my silly lizard son

This one I just adore for the lighting aspect of it, sad my skills were not quite up to snuff in adding a rain effect over everything but some day ^^

And yeah he do that too. Thank fuck for icons on smartphones, otherwise he'd be doomed by his illiteracy :V

Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream

With the new Tomodachi Life soon to be released, I figured I'd make a thread to contain the wacky shenanigans that happen on my island. Other people can post about their Tomodachi islands as well if we want a single thread to contain them, or this can just be a thread for my own game. I'm fine either way.

The game isn't out yet, but I did upload a compilation of me completing the demo.

First islander is my friend Blinkpen's OC, Bianca. I added her specifically as a challenge to see if I could make a convincing Mii using all the new features. I think she came out alright! I might tweak the metal half of her face, though, it might go a little too far back. There's definitely some room for improvement, but I'm happy enough with her for now. She immediately tests the game's (lack of) profanity filter, as her father is an evil dictator who she hopes to dethrone some day.

She makes quick friends with Graylef, my evil clone or whatever. My spouse wants our Miis to be married, so I added a doppelganger of myself so that I can vicariously live through him as he falls in love with Shrek or Goku or whoever. After the video, I tweaked him slightly, flipping his hair so that it mirrors my own.

Finally is Dracula Flow, which is a Mii I found on Tomodachishare.com, made by Lochnessmonster_1107. They knocked it out of the park, I think. I might remove the eyes behind his glasses, that might be funnier.

Bianca and Graylef now refer to each other as Blanca and Gray Guy. This nickname system is going to add so much character to the game, I can't wait. Dracula also tests the profanity filter. He has a few notable catchphrases he'd ideally say, but the character limit on those phrases is pretty tight. You can kinda cheat, though, as the character limit for the pronunciation is a bit longer. So while his text simply says "fuckin KILL you", I eventually set it so that out loud, he says "I'll fuckin' KILL you." It might just be long enough to get him to pronounce "this shit ain't nothin' to me, man." Maybe I'll test that out in the full game.

Overall, a very compelling demo. Gives you JUST enough to get you excited for the full game. I can't wait for the full release on Thursday!

Caching issue when replying

I was replying to the introductions thread, and got confused when my post didn't show up. It looks to me like the page cache for the thread didn't get invalidated. I was able to see the post by adding ?cachebust=1 to the url (to make it a different cache item.) It looks to me like an issue with caching server side, as it was still acting like this even when I force refreshed the page.
