Watching Movies

Vikingstid — Fri, 25 Sep 2026 14:36:02 +0000

P. much what it says on the tin. Talk about movies you have watched recently here! Maybe you will find some recommendations! Maybe you will be exposed to the utter dreck I usually watch! Maybe someone else watches garbage as well! Life's rich tapestry!

I recently saw the new Resident Evil film by Barbarian/Weapons director Zach Cregger, and I am giving it the full two thumbs up. Best Resident Evil movie ever made, and also just a good movie in general. 95 minutes of goopy action horror with Cregger's trademark sense of humor. Felt like a real RE love letter while doing its own thing and story.

I had a shit day today so now I am watching Mermaid which is a movie about terrible people in Florida and also mermaids. The entire cast is made up of guys and gals who made their careers being ugly or gross bit parts and side characters in sitcoms, everything's sunburnt and bleached, it's great and just the right mood currently.

What have you all watched recently?

Sharply Dressed - A one-shot JourneyBound Comic ft. Arrow Squall and Athen Vaeran

Snix — Thu, 24 Sep 2026 00:29:38 +0000

Hey guys, just making some edits to the OG post for clarity. Once intended for a comic jam, life got in the way and I didn't meet the deadline, but I'm still finishing the comic! Currently, updates are being made on MONDAYS and will be hosted through BlamPow!, an ATproto service that operates through BlueSky's source code, and my own personal site over at Snix Comix for those who do not use BlueSky or do not want to bother being verified through BP! as it is still in beta.

Thank you for reading the progress so far!

Selkie's 2026 Art Thread!

Selkie — Sat, 30 May 2026 14:53:29 +0000

Hi hi all! I'm on a bit of a journey to teach myself how to draw! I have pretty bad wrist and joint pain, so about three years ago I gave myself a challenge to draw one character from a project a friend and I work on every month. I've been improving very slowly, but if you'd like to join me on the journey, here's where you can see my attempts so far!

I also sometimes do quick doodles or, when I have a month where my hand pain isn't so bad, sometimes draw other things than the same four men.

Will update as I go through the year. Thanks for looking at Akito (redhead), Junji (grey hair), Achilles (blond man ), and Meilyr (eye stitches).

FruitWhale's 2026 Art Thread!

FruitWhale — Mon, 27 Apr 2026 04:05:18 +0000

Hellooooo :) I like the idea of having a lil art thread to keep track of things, so I'm hopping in! I'm finding it difficult to go sort my personal work from this year and decide what's worth sharing, so I'll just add the stuff that I make going forward for now!

I recently finished getting a basic version of my neocities website online and I wanted to make some very simple quick illustrations for a short drabble, these were my favourite ones from last week!

Very mild warning for weird exploding meat, but nobody's getting hurt. (Except a sentient spaceship.)

Thank you for looking :m

Caching issue when replying

Shhasum — Fri, 10 Apr 2026 20:13:31 +0000

I was replying to the introductions thread, and got confused when my post didn't show up. It looks to me like the page cache for the thread didn't get invalidated. I was able to see the post by adding ?cachebust=1 to the url (to make it a different cache item.) It looks to me like an issue with caching server side, as it was still acting like this even when I force refreshed the page.
